Ilaria Crosta
Born in Turin and raised in France, Ilaria Crosta is a photographer, curator, and artistic director based in Paris. After earning a degree in New Technologies for the Arts in Venice, she began her career assisting renowned photographers and coordinating editorial projects. In 2012, she co-founded the photography publication YET Magazine, serving as its photo editor for two years.
As a curator, Ilaria has organized and produced exhibitions for international festivals and institutions, including the world-renowned Circulation(s) Festival in Paris, Fotografia Europea in Reggio Emilia, and the Hamburg Triennale. She has also collaborated with publications such as Rolling Stone Italia, Io Donna, and Corriere della Sera.
In 2021, she founded with Ying Ang and Emilie Hudig Reflexions 2.0 Masterclass, inviting masters like Joan Fontcuberta, Laia Abril, and Teun van der Heijden to mentor emerging talents. Her personal photographic work has been presented at the Sit Down Galerie in Paris and featured in publications including Lens Culture, Fisheye, and Arte. She was awarded the Catherine Gide Foundation Award in 2018.
Today, Ilaria continues to develop new curatorial concepts, lead workshops, and guide photographers through her masterclass. She lives in Paris with her cat Gulliver, a towering monstera plant, and a beloved collection of photo books.
